Thanks for the help.
I'm not sure I will need myFunctions.sh for now, startup command will do.
I also discovered xset mouse 0 1 to work just as well and with most USB mice.
Still you solved my issue, so thanks again.

Thinkpad Mint Backlight issue

I've got a Thinkpad T61p with linux mint 17.1 xfce. My problem with it is that the backlight slider doesn't work as it should. Sometimes it even blinks to 0% when turning it down, and max level is a bit below max. Using xbacklight to 100% or second to last level is OK, but how do I change the values...
