The Linux Mint forum is under no obligation to offer a podium for any and all opinions.
You are the arbiter of truth. I can post an opinion as long as it conforms?

I'm not dieting, I'm recovering from a serious bout of Crohn's I wish you a speedy recovery. One of my best friends has Crohn's for many years now and I have seen what kind of devastating effects it can have. Its a horrible disease. She is sometimes able to keep it in check without medication by ad...

This has been a quite informal and informative thread for those who know little, or nothing, about construction, or cabinet making which are disciplines as similar, and different, as Linux and Wingewoes That statement proves my point so well, you have already discarded anything I've said as uneduca...

Any thoughts on the chest of drawers I'm considering? I would buy it for that price, pine may be softer than exotic hardwoods, but it is common, lightweight, and more durable than particle board or MDF by far. Even the finger jointed drawer sides and backs are as strong as particle board and much l...

I agree, and I'd be surprised to see anyone defend that belief. Most people are living that reality right now. legitimate experts That's a term created by the media, I certainly haven't seen any practitioner make the outlandish claim that they are an expert on covid 19. I'd laugh at anyone who did ...

The more viral load you are exposed to the more likely you are to have a severe reaction. That's why medical personnel wearing protective equipment are still getting it and becoming very sick while others are walking around without even knowing they have it. It's an established fact that having your...

Hydro Electric is a very clean engery source and in North America was a staple until all the Environmentalist had them taken down. It could still be viable with accommodations for fish and wildlife. It's the most effective way to generate power with regard to environmental impact. The fact is the e...

I think "officials with Jackson County Roads and the Sheriff's Office" are trying to cover their asses because they blocked a main road and diverted people unto unsuitable road(s). They didn't divert anybody. The interstate was closed because there was a blizzard, the stuck people figured they coul...

Re: Tyre garages: don't trust them blindly

That seems hugely exaggerated. I used to think that and it's not generally a problem with steel wheels, but I've had an aluminum wheel loosen up after a few days so I always re-torque mine after a day. Its no fun to loose a wheel at 70 mph and if someone does after they've done a tire service, they...

By coincidence, because I wanted to put new wheel covers on them In the dark, while it was raining, with a flashlight clamped in your teeth? You know the vehicle would have made it back to the garage where they would have been happy to fix that bug for you, My tire guy recommends re-torquing the lu...

Despite what everyone else says about you setting this up, that is the default behavior no matter how you configure the install.
I've always had to disable the screen lock in the screensaver settings menu every single time I've ever installed mint.

Re: Why are programs allowed to overtake processor and memory to the point of stalling the system?

I fiddled with inxi, and took a look at the CPU and GPU temperatures, and wondered what they ought to be. This I think is the most likely cause, as electrical components heat up the conductivity goes down so the hotter the machine runs the less efficient the components are. They have to draw more c...

It's not a miracle drug though.
I agree, the effects are pretty mild, some of those concentrates are fairly strong but I find chamomile tea just about as effective for a sleep aid.

So Hemp and marijuana are classified as cannabis but are two different plants. I was thinking more in terms of scientific definition than legal. I remember talking to a guy at a hempfest a couple of years ago who was talking about new laws concerning hemp but I never checked it out. By scientific de...
