DELL Inspiron 15 - 5000 Series - No WiFi

I have loaded the above laptop with Mint 17.3 Rosa 64-bit. Try as I might I cannot get the WiFi to work. For the time being a dongle has resolved the problem but to me feels a bodge. :( Any ideas on how to solve this? 8)

Thanks and regards...

DELL Inspiron 15 - 5000 Series VDU Resolution

A colleagues laptop failed over Christmas - it was running Mint 17.3. As the above laptop was in our stores I set about replicating their set up on it. I installed 17.3 as some of their application's cannot run on 18 (major porting issues). Everything was fine bar the screen display and the WiFi. A ...

Re: MySQL Server Not Working - Solved

Re: Archive of Operating Systems

A note of caution here! Whilst you,may be able to run older OSs on older hardware they should not be connected to the internet as they will be very insecure. Life can become very difficult if say your e-mail is hacked and extremely difficult if your bank account has been hacked...

Re: Mouse not working at boot.

Run 'lsusb' before you remove the mouse and after you reconnect it. Can the system see it before unplugging.
