Third party Chromium rebuilds are likely to be several builds behind Chromium builds meaning there are security issues that have not been addressed as they are in Chromium for weeks or more. There is a guide to install it manually on Mint and this user set it auto to high from what I can tell.

This works with Mint. I've used it with Mint. Mint being essentially based on Debian.

I installed mint 17.3 64-bit. Compiled grsecurity into the corresponding 4.2.7 kernel, set it up using default automatic settings, and installed the kernal. It made mint crash on loading up. I had to disable a Pax setting to allow it to boot. But it still broke other things like synaptic, file expl...
