I'm running Mint Cinnamon 21.2. with a 256GB SSD, 16GB memory and no swap file. Suspend works fine for me.

Checksumo is found in Flathub. It's got a simple GUI with only two input fields; Search for and select the downloaded .iso, then copy the Hash value to the other field and select "Verify"

Try going to https://www.dnsleaktest.com/ and run the leaktest. It'll tell you which DNS is being used. Two caveats: First, suppose you specified 8.8.8.8, Google DNS. I use Waterfox with Ublock and the Goodly Mint extension (highly recommended). I never see ads. Perhaps the extension blocks them? I use a desktop and never access the forum with my phone.

Going on 10 years. Tried several different distros and quickly settled on Mint Cinnamon.
