Unbelievable! Puppy doesn't even display .micro ext like it never existed! lol

I got Lucid Puppy, installed it on a stick & now writing from my pc. Puppy seems to be working more than fine for me. I can mount all of the partitions. Will see how Sea Monkey gonna work on different sites. Any help how can I remove the malware files in the partitions with Puppy? All my pic files h...

I got Lucid Puppy installed it on a stick & Bingo! Now I'm on my Acer, writing from it. Puppy seems the best for me. Mounted my SSD on the 1st try. Now I have to find the files in the File M. Any clues on how to speed it up?

The version of GParted live I got comes w some interface - a browser, text editor & more so I thought I could add VLC or similar.
I'm still struggling with which version of Linux would be best for my 8 GB HD. U can see my other topic.

What are the good S.M.A.R.T values I dont know ?
Btw the S.M.A.R.T. capabilities of my Win XP pc are disabled in BIOS. It's good?

I managed to install GParted on a USB stick & managed to boot up my Acer Aspire One which had Linux Maya 13. Though when I run GP it couldn't find any file system on the 8 GB HD. Plus it couldn't get me online with its featured Web browser.
What should I do?

When u reinstall XP it usually preserve the old configuration. Wouldn't it keep the Malware as well?

Luckily I read this b4 the hack. Though I couldn't install any of the AV prog I found. They all crush b4 the end of the installation. Or need to get more files online. It all happened after I installed an app called My PCBackup. After I uninstalled it all My Docs folders got flooded w notepad files with the same content which appear first after every reboot of Win XP. I uninstalled the AV on Fr after many reboots. It kept blocking explorer from opening. I can post...

boy i really stepped into it this time, :) . i guess i would say you need some type of DOS file program manager right? what would that be.... like uh.... midnight commander or something like that? this is all really over my head for understanding. you have some good help, in fact, better help than ...

i believe a fresh install will clear and empty everything from all files/Dir to an untrained eye. the information will likely still remain on the disk hidden somewhere, until the disk needs the space again and over-writes it. so i guess i would say, save the files to some portable medium.
