Thank you for the information. Yes there is a permit or not permit choice but when a click PERMIT it doesn-t hold and the choice appears again so ther e must be something wrong with the android samsung phone which is a year old.... And I downloaded Warpinator but it doesn-t detect any devices at all...

How to transfer photos from mobile phone to PC
Dear friends,
I connect my cell phone to the PC with the USB cable and the computer recognizes the device but does not show any files at all.
How do I configure the PC to transfer the some files into it...
I know how to do it with Windows but how do I do it with Linuxmint...

Dear friends,
Thank you all especially kevin987, which gave me the confidence to open de cpu and replace the battery (3v lithium) which I easily replaced and the BIOS is working fine now and I was able to boot the usb. So this solves the problem. SOLVED.

Dear friends, My only problem right now is the BIOS. It doesn't save the changes of the 4 groups shown as options: Harddisk, CD ROM, floppy disk, and ethernet. This seems to have solved the kernel panic, because I have used my oldest Acer laptop for 5 hours or more, and NO KERNEL PANIC. I removed Ralink for Realtek as you suggested. Thank you very much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
