I have tried to install numerous commercial fonts which commonly are used on Windows, but it seems that this is not the problem. Attach, please find a picture to show how it looks. This...

Problems with Language Input Methods + ibus Chinese. Probable bug?

Hi ! I know my issue is a little bit particular, specially because there are probably not many users who are using Chinese input on Mint. However, I consider my concerns a small bug. Currently I am using Cinnamon 17.3. with three language input methods – English, Spanish and Chinese. For Chinese I’v...

Hi all, first of all my apologizes, but I was too busy the last weeks. However, I still would like to keep this thread alive as I think that this information is really interesting, not only for people living in China. What do you think about Wunderlist ?

Hi,

I really would appreciate any opinions about this Wunderlist. I have heard a lot of positive feedback about that app. But I am not sure if I should setup an account with them, specially because of my privacy concerns with these kind of cloud based task manager. :?

Best Wishes!

China, internet censorship and no VPN for Linux

Hello, I am currently living in China and this is the main reason I cannot get away from Windows. Due to the extreme censorship I completely depend on a commercial VPN. Nowadays protocols like OpenVPN or PPTP do not work anymore in China as the Chinese government cracked them. The problem, there are...

Re: Bug - applet configurable menu not working with 17.3

Dear Cosmo, Thanks for your answer, but it is really a shock to hear this, especially because the out of the box start menu is really one negative aspect of the Cinnamon UI and from my understanding I am not the only person in the Mint-Community thinking like this. I really hope that the start menu ...
