Yeah, Ithought as much. But I've been digging around and this bug seems to stem from Ubuntu. I recall reading in some forum of a user with similar troubles and he was runnig the latest ubuntu. OK. Reporting back. Both my passwd and sudoers files are excatly as the above. I have noticed that when I use mintassitant to activate root account, the change doesn't stick, i.e, when I run mintassistant a second and third time, it shows me that the root account is disabled. I have tried sudo su on...
