Apps on installation

Hello,

On first boot, i run the update manager. It shows 80 updates. Is it necessary to install all of these? Is a lot of this, stuff I don't need?

Firejail

Ever since I ran sudo firecfg, my browsers won't launch. I have to uninstall firejail completely to get them to work. If I reinstall firejail, the problem persists. Any workaround for this?

Re: Mint Cinnamon 19 Slow Boot

Login Password

When I installed Mint, I selected to have login automatically. Is there a way to make it so I have to enter a password at welcome screen?

Re: Deluge

Hi FrankN209 This looks like a great computer (Quad core Intel Core i7 with 8 CPU threads, 16gb of system memory (ram)), what make and model is it? I do not see anything wrong with the results of the "inxi -Fxzd" console terminal command, so that is a good thing. I do not see any Linux Kernel infor...

Deluge

Every time I am downloading with Deluge, Chrome and FF starts running slow. The torrents are only downloading at 1 - 2mb a sec, and I have 450mb download speeds. Are there any changes that I can make in Deluge to remedy this?

Thanks in advance.

Remove Grub Boot Menu

I was dual booting W7 and Mint. I ended up deleting Windows and now I just have Mint. But the grub boot menu is there on startup. Is there a way to bypass the grub menu and have it boot straight into Mint?

Regards

I couldn't get it to work. I was using Mate, uninstalled and installed Cinnamon, the "tearing" stopped. :)
