Re: Flash keeps crashing

Ok so I removed chromium and installed chrome from google.com, I also installed the proprietary amd driver over the open source, still saying 'shockwave flash plug in is not responding : stop the plugin' then i click stop so it says it crashed. There must be someway to fix this.

Re: Flash keeps crashing

When I check chrome://plugins it shows it as version 11.2 and when right clicking on a flash object it shows as version 20, don't know why, but the constant crashing is getting annoying.

Flash keeps crashing

I'm using Chromium on Mint Cinnamon 17.3, and everytime I visit a webpage with flash ads, it freezes and flash crashes, this keeps going on until I close the webpage. Any clues? Everything is updated. The flash player is the new version 20.

Re: Cinnamon is slow on 6 month old PC

So I am currently using 17.3 cinnamon, and it's working well, alot better than 17.2 on my pc. However I notice that sometimes when I restart my PC that the screen flashes different colors and stays black afterwards and I am forced to do a hard shutdown, then when I start back up it's fine again. I a...

Cinnamon is slow on 6 month old PC

I have a HP all in one Pavilion 23 PC, and for some reason cinnamon is very slow, from the menu button, to doing different tasks, as well as the overall system. I have an issue with any Linux distro I use where The LiveUSB works fine but I usually need to use 'nomodeset xforcevesa' to boot after ins...

Re: Making USB with Mint - GPT with UEFI

Hmm.. well I tried unetbootin and created the usb with cinnamon 64bit mint, seems it doesn't support uefi as there is no option for the usb to boot in uefi mode after using unetbootin. So I enabled legacy devices and tried booting in bios mode, but got an error says there is no operating system avai...

Re: Making USB with Mint - GPT with UEFI

Thanks for the quick response, had another quick question, I think I can Live boot with secure boot on, but should I turn it off before live booting anyways where it won't boot in secure boot after installing Mint?

Making USB with Mint - GPT with UEFI

Is there a universal program that can make the USB boot in GPT with UEFI, instead of the old MBR method? I know rufus can but that is strictly Windows, I want a universal one that can also run from GNU/Linux. Thanks a lot :D.

Re: realtek rtl8188ee

Check your wifi router encryption settings, you want WPA2-AES, WPA2-PSK, or WPA2 only, no WEP or TKIP Then echo "options rtl8188ee fwlps=0" | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/rtl8188ee.conf Reboot and see if there is any difference I can not change my router settings at all, the reconnect place that I am t...

Issue with Hdparm HPA/DCO

Hello all, just purchased a new PC, HP All in One Pavilion 23. I was using Parted Magic to check out detail in HDParm, however when it came down to using hdparm -N /dev/sda I was unable to get anything, I was given this message: READ_NATIVE_MAX_ADDRESS_EXT failed: Input/output error. So I was wonder...

Mouse icon is screwed up

My Mint live usb is running like a top however the mouse icon is kinda glitchy, it's more compressed and slanted than usual with a couple of colorful lines underneath, maybe it's just a gfx problem, I would take a screen pic but when I do, the mouse pointer looks normal in the pic lol.

Re: PC Locks up.

I think I may have figured out the issue. I never have this problem when running Parted Magic, even using youtube etc. So I decided to try GSmartControl, in the log under type shows 3 pre-failures and the rest old age. But the quick 2 min scan came back error free. Could the drive be failing? Could ...
