What actually did the trick is NOT having the phone connected on startup. If its connected when I start up my linux machine it will be impossible to access it for some reason but whenever I plug it in after a couple of minutes instead its working

I have been looking at Grsync, Unison and Backup Tools but haven't found anywhere how to automatically backup files without me actively doing anything? Is there a way to do this in Linux Mint?

I have followed some guides and threads but nothing up to date for later versions, I am running 17.1

When I plug in USB my android phone (huawei) gets power but it does not show up anywhere in Linux Mint. Ideas?

I installed unison and unison-gtk from software manager. The icon appears in menu but nothing happens no matter how many time I try and start it?
