I have to agree with george_angel. In fact, I would go further and drop cinnamon as well. If you want to convert people from windows to linux, as I have done many times, mint mate is basically so similar, from a users point of view, to windows xp that the changeover is seamless. Well, you've certainly received some tech information on this, but if you want a really simple solution, here's a suggestion. Get rid of windows. Have no partitions. Set your BIOS to defaults. Install Linux on the hard drives, and fill your 32gB flash drive with nice music. No more problems.

Using Mint 15, I cannot delete some files from a USB stick. Error message "unable to delete. Read only file system". How do I change this??. Or, how do I simply format the USB stick?? Any help appreciated. Solved. :D
