Re: New Linux Mint 19.2. is coming to town soon...

I'm using Mint-X themes and I could swear something has been changed in those as well. They look smoother than I remembered. I switched fonts back to Noto Sans though, I've always liked their look.

Re: Best laptops for Linux Mint?

I inherited a Lenovo IdeaPad 110 when my uncle passed away. I immediately wiped the Windows 8 and installed Mint 19.1 Mate. Everything works as it's supposed to. It's quick and the battery seems to last just as long as it did on Win 8.

Re: Help with XFCE theming

The default theme for the new versions of Manjaro is based on this: https://github.com/horst3180/vertex-theme

It works in all desktops.

Re: Pale Moon browser

I tried the latest Pale Moon. Definitely brought back memories of the "good old Firefox"! One thing though, PM's font rendering is not as good as Chrome on some sites. One example is this forum. The first image is PM, the second is Chrome: http://i.imgur.com/Sayu2Tvm.png http://i.imgur.com/wjm5Mm8m....

Re: Better to get Chrome from Software Center or from website?

But I'd only download the .deb file from google's own site. Only downloading the .deb file means that you will not get the frequent security updates. On the other hand, installing the recommended PPA will assure that you receive all security updates as soon as they are released. Installing Google C...

Re: What mail server to choose for learning purpose?

So, I'm renting the domain name from Godaddy. It's working, but I started to receive mail like 'logo design for your website', 'website design/building'... My site hasn't been indexed by search engines yet, how do they know about its existence? GoDaddy probably sold your info to someone. They'll do...

Re: Looking for a dark, flat theme

I'm trying vertex theme now (from my old arc-theme). Wow! Horst3180 does good, solid work! I don't like the icon choice (so I'm using ultra-flat-green icons) but the theme itself is very nice. :) I didn't care for the icons either. I've been using Elementary with it. I guess the Manjaro team was im...

Re: Looking for a dark, flat theme

The best one I've seen is Vertex: https://github.com/horst3180/vertex-theme I'm currently using it on my LMDE setup.

That happened to me. Running

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install cinnamon
fixed it.

If you mean Sid Meier's Starships, it looks like it has not been ported to Linux yet. Wine looks like your only possibility for now.

Should be no problem. I've deleted then and sym-linked quite a few times, when I had separate drives, without issue. Often times, my data was even formatted NTFS because I had previously used it on a Windows system.
