Re: ./ZeroNet.sh can someone help me w/this arguement please

so i guess there are 3 questions i have here. 1 un-related to Zeronet. 1) this entry produces visible feedback, a real-time look at the terminal. how or what is the terminal showing me? 2) is the terminal revealing all information being processed & can the terminal output show me all the scripts be...

Re: can i correct picture-in-picture vids with linux?

First thing I'd do about that example video is look for a normal video of the event rather than that weird perversion which was no doubt uploaded by some weird pervert who likes watching videos of blurry dots with motorcycles in the corner. Thank-you once again Flemur, for your valuable CLI knowled...

Re: can i correct picture-in-picture vids with linux?

* Correction: I just downloaded the video and played it back in vlc. It has a crop filter that let me cop the video. I then set it to play full screen and it worked. So there is an option for you. thank you Sir Racer-x ! funny thing, i have only tried VLC on one other occasion. it failed miserably ...

Re: How do i install flash player on linux mint 18 cinnamon ?

i use 17, so i don't know for sure. adobe & pepperflash is probably already located in 2 places for you, should you desire to install either. menu>adiministration>software manager. or menu>adiministration>synaptic package manager. that is probably how it is layed-out, all ready for you to install a...

Re: libavcodec, browser warns update & vulnerability

Anyone know when they will release a mint update for this? I don't want to disable it in about:config, it's risky. Not a good solution IMHO. regretfully,i haven't used open-source very long. of the codec issues i have seen, none of them have been responsible for breaking a system. which says to me,...

Re: Would you assist law enforcement?

"if you give a fish to a person, that person eats for a day. if you teach that person to fish, said person eats for a lifetime" I have seen this one a little different, and attributed to Karl Marx, although I'm not sure that it actually comes from Marx: Catch a man a fish, and you can sell it to hi...

Re: Would you assist law enforcement?

it is an interesting question. it asks alot of questions about philosophical & political practices mainly. so for that purpose, can a person arrive at a "correct" answer? i think there are enormous amounts of humans that will believe, and do whatever is asked of them, if there is a paycheck involved...

Re: Manual adjustment of Subwoofer Volume

there are a handful of "alternative" audio programs & plug-ins in software manager/synaptics that might suit your needs. audacity is a fairly common one. it might help you gather information if you can share with the community your use application. a google search for "linux alternatives" might be a...

WOW Xenopeek! that 1st black demo is like watermelon on the tongue, beautiful eye easement. i would like to see a regular thread using it. maybe the code boxes could be a gentle yellow or something. SUPERB black demo at 1st glance. +1. Not visually impaired, but it's super easy on the eyes and look...

Re: Forum style for users with vision impairment?

A couple of users have asked for a dark (or high-contrast) style to help with vision impairment. I don't have enough feedback on that yet. We could consider adding a dark style to the forum. I've looked through the available styles for our forum version and there these 3 that are dark that you can ...

Fred, i was kinda hoping you'd stop by. ok, yeah, just somthing that will get me above the background radiation & allow me to observe my food. i'm guessing if it is a gamma, i really don't need anything, and more or less nuclear-related (by)products. you know, something more cycling than a ban...

Scintilator Chat

ok, so i would like to throw together a simple radiation detector. i am wondering if anyone can think of a couple simple household items that i can use as alpha, and then seperately beta screens, ultimately reading from a multimeter, each individualy. if i really need an appropiate size of plastic, ...

Re: Androi Tablet not recognized by my machine.

Here's the output for the command above. I don't understand it completely. Specifically why it shows 2 4-port hubs, when I only have one. It doesn't show the tablet. Although if I switch the tablet to PTP mode, Linux will recognize the photo and image files only. i don't have any formal education i...
