Hey, I'm on Linux Mint 19.1 Cinnamon. No luck in getting thumbnails for OpenDocument format yet: ooo-thumbnailer does not work tumbler-plugins-extra does not work libgsf does not work I am so frustrated. It's 2019. in Linux Mint 19.2 wifi works out of the box on my Dell Inspiron 14 5482.

also, I just checked, both OS use network-manager version 1.10.6-2ubuntu1.1

I hope that by finding out the difference between the two OS I will find a solution to get WIFI on Mint 19.1

maybe something about drivers?

Hello! I want to put Linux Mint on my Dell Inspiron 14 5482. Booting Linux Mint 19.1 live there are no wifi networks shown. Switching the connectivity switch (FN+PRNTSCRN) only changes bluetooth connectivity. I checked in BIOS, the switch should also apply to WiFi. Booting Xubuntu 18.04.2 Wifi works...

Hey, I tried the above (ADDENDUM: 8 August 2016) and still have diagonal screen tearing. Linux Mint 18.3 64bit Graphics Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/MGS, 943/940GML Express integrated Graphics Controller -> Any ideas what to do? -> Can I just update to Linuxmint 19.1 and screen tearing will be gone?

Removing the thumbnail cache periodically with a script is a workaround, not a fix. I actually want all my thumbnails to be cached and saved for next time because that will make browsing files faster. I just sent a pm to the originator of this thread, asking if he really considers his issue solved, ...

Thanks for the answers, I'll just reinstall with full disk encryption but without encrypted home folder.
And yes, I trust encryption.

nemo has no support.
nautilus and ooo-thumbnailer doesn't work.

there is a package called nemo-dropbox but it doesnt work on my machine (17.1 Cinnamon 32bit)

but nautilus and nautilus-dropbox works fine
