If it's a clean install on a bare drive, it says to use the erase disk There could be users like me, who do not want to erase everything from the disk. installing beside Windows There could be users like me, who do not want to keep the Windows partition. They can be found by looking on the internet...

All packages there are translations. What I need is a Chinese input method rather than a Chinese translation.

I have never used Network Manager to set up my PPPoE connection. I only use sudo pppoeconf, which is straightforward.

If the OP wants to clean install Mint in UEFI mode, remember to create a 500 MB "EFI System Partition" before the "Ext4 journaling file system" partition: viewtopic.php?f=46&t=284713#p1573882
