Re: Epson XP-340

Try the following. I had an Epson and performed these steps: Go to Epson’s website. Go to Support. Search for printer model. Choose Linux as the OS. Under Drivers, click on Support for Linux. Click on Linux Drivers for Epson Products. This will take you to http://download.ebz.epson.net/… (Quick link...

Re: Timeshift insufficient disk space

No, in my setting /home in not inclued (you have the screenshot in one of my previous posts) I tryed with "inclued hidden" as you said... nothing changed... As of now, it seems that Timeshift is trying to backup it's own directory of backups, hence the warning of such a large number. I don't unders...

Re: Timeshift insufficient disk space

... Your setting has everything being backed up, including /home . Is that on purpose? If not, change the setting under users to this: Include hidden Shutter_005.jpg As of now, it seems that Timeshift is trying to backup it's own directory of backups, hence the warning of such a large number.

In response to Jerry, I cannot see how to delete the small partition on the 30Gb drive. GParted shows 'delete' greyed out.
Are you able to resize the second partition?

Click on the second partition, then click Resize/Move, then drag the left part of the partition box all the way to the left.

Re: USB stick read only

Any reason why your first USB drive has two partitions? The first partition is free space and not being used.

In Gparted, try deleting all partitions on one of the USB flash drives, then recreate a partition table (msdos) and format the newly-created partition to FAT32.

Re: Timeshift insufficient disk space

In Timeshift's settings, double check to see if it's actually saving in the /home partition and not the / partition.

Re: My second conversion of a computer to Mint

Another win for the good guys. Good going, JerryF ! Personally, I would NOT initially do a dual-boot, but instead get an external hard drive, and move all his data off the internal so that there's no question you can do whatever and there will be no chance of a catastrophic loss of data. FYI, Walma...

My second conversion of a computer to Mint

Hello all, An acquaintance of mine has Windows 7 and as many of you may know, extended support has ended for it. He said he didn't like Windows 10 and had gone back to 7 which has been for a few years now. I gave him the option to upgrade and return to Windows 10 if he wants, or if he'd like, try a ...

Re: All Desktop Screenshots of 2020

I was going to post a screenshot, but it won't accept a 3840x1080 background capture... hmmm GIMP -> Picture -> Scale picture -> export as .jpg so you get it under 100 kb If I made a 3840x1080 down to 100kb, you wouldn't be able to make anything out. You might be able to if you scale the resolution...
