Okay I did it again in Gparted and guess what, it now mounts and IS writable. No idea why, I think it is broken.
It's not broken. It needed to be partitioned and formatted properly as a USB flash drive.

This is the output when I try to install grub to /dev/sdb:

It's typed incorrectly in Terminal. Should have been sdb, not sbd.

Have you checked the Wine website's database to see if that program will run in Wine?
Yes
Great. I saw that it's listed as Gold in the Wine Database.

You should be all set with instructions from dark and pbear.

Re: Filezilla edit .json problem

Charlie,

You may want to give someone a chance to respond to your posts. Sometimes, it takes a while for a member who has the knowledge to help you.

Giving information is good, but too much isn't productive.

Why is not anyone answering? I think i made a legit question, why does vmware on linux mint (and some other distros i tried) requires swap space/partition? that's ABSURDITY. I want to run vmware virtual machines without swap spaces, just like virtualbox. Please give people a chance to read your pos...

Re: [MS Office] best way to run this windows suite in Linux Mint?

The thing is that I'm not so familiar with VirtualBox/Machines. A virtual machine is like having a computer within a computer. When you create a virtual machine, it will have virtual disk drives, USB ports, etc. just like a physical computer. Once it's set up, it's like running a computer within yo...

It's the 2010 version. And as from a youtube video I've seen, it should be piece of cake to install it with POL.
I wouldn't bet too much money on that.

Lot of questions in one post, so I'm just going to answer this: Like, once it's there, do I need to install another OS like a paid version of Windows 2016? 'cause if so, I think I'll ditch Mint entirely and only run one OS for everything :( In order to run the bidding software, you'd need a copy of ...

Re: How do I print a poster?

What I'm trying to do here is break up an image (poster, map, picture) so that I can enlarge the image onto 4 sheets, 6 sheets, etc. that I can trim and tape together. In my case it's an old (1850s) southern Ontario map that I'd like to post on my wall. Genealogy stuff . . . I did manage it by crop...
