Re: Is there any way to keep BIOS and OS time same?
Thanks. We did this for now and didn't need to reboot because ntpdate already set clock to local time. However, I like people's arguments that using UTC/GMT is advantageous to keep better track of access times, so supposing I wanted that feature in future, I'd just do the following? timedat...

When posting information from Terminal, please copy and paste the text into your post instead of uploading it to an image website. Re: Should external drives partition types be listed as Master Boot Record or GUID Partition Table (GPT)?
Thanks Jerry. When I purchased the new external drive (Samsung T7 SSD), it came pre-formatted with a filesystem other than ext4 (I don't recall which filesystem). So I reformatted it in Linux Mint to ext4. It still shows MBR, however. How do I switch it to GPT? I'm okay reformatting, if required. B...

Re: Should external drives partition types be listed as Master Boot Record or GUID Partition Table (GPT)?
In Linux Mint's "Disks" utility, when viewing an external drive that has a single ext4 partition (formatted via Linux Mint), should the "Partitioning" field indicate "Master Boot Record" or "GUID Partition Table" (GPT)? If it matters, the system uses UEFI and...

Re: New Messages When Shutting Down
It looks like a driver crash but the picture didn't show any info about what driver might cause it I looked at the output while shutting down and saw this (taken from journalctl): Mar 16 16:30:48 HP-15-dw3363st systemd[1]: Failed unmounting /home. And still getting the other output as before.

Re: New Messages When Shutting Down
I ran journalctl -b -1, but couldn't find anything at first so I used grep to find a couple of phrases: When you are in the journalctl display you can search with the / character. Type /exit_to_user_mode_prepare plus enter and it will take you there. Now you can scroll back with your arrow-up key t...
