Re: How Many Users over 80 years old are out there?
I very quietly turned 86 last October. Started with Puppy Linux because of a fractured ankle.
One of the best breaks I ever got. That was in January, 2015. Been here ever since.

Re: Opening the bonnet
A big thank you to all for the helpful hints. When I first cleaned out the computer i used a can of compressed air and a small brush. It turned out, in my case, to be a mistake. All I did was blow ll of the dirt into the heatsink and clog up the fins. I found that after removing the heat sink from t...

Re: Respect to a cat
Any cat that will leap or climb into a fenced yard where a large dog that has left its scent in the yard is not too bright I have a Westie. She is a terrier that has been bred for many years to kill vermin. When I bought my house I informed my neighbors that my dog will kill if given the chance. He...

Re: Why I Dislike Cell Phones
I'm like Lady Fitzgerald. I have a flip phone that makes phone calls. Nothing more. It has a camera, but I never bothered to figure out how it works. I have a Nikon to take the pictures. My cell phone bill is 20.00a month. The only reason I have the phone is the family. They insist I take it when I ...

Re: Off this morning for first covid 19 vaccine jab
The headache went away about noon yesterday and I took a long walk in the brisk weather
with my wee doggie. That always makes me feel better.
Later in the evening I treated the sore arm with a few glasses of Jack Daniels taken internally.
Everything is good to go now.

Re: Off this morning for first covid 19 vaccine jab
I got the moderna booster shot yesterday , and, while I was there decided to get my annual flu shot. I got both shots in the same arm which may have been a mistake. The arm is very sore this morning. I also have a bad headache and don't know which shot caused it. I guess the lesson learned is when w...

Re: Can't boot windows 10
I Never got very good at fixing my computer when I screwed it up, but I had one that
sort of looked like your gparted
I think you have wiped your windows 10 when you installed Linux.
I may be wrong, but when you add up the unallocated space, theres' no room for windows.
