Both applications cast no shadow.
I guess it has to do both beeing Qt Applications. But Qt comes bundeled with this programs and I bet it ignores system preferences for Qt rendering.

Missing shadows is an indicator for software rendering. Go to the login screen and set Cinnamon as your default session and not Cinnamon fallback mode.

I always used compiz to zoom old games running in Wine like Diablo II. Worked great never had any stability issues.

I installed Mint 19 again today because it got messed up somehow.
And because I have upgraded my wificard i did not lose bluetooth functionality.
As for other negative sideffects looks good so far, but as mentioned I tested only one day so far.

[SOLVED] Middle click with three finger gesture not working since 18.3.
I have one Laptop where the emulation of the middle mouse button does not work with three finger gesture since update to 18.3.
Two finger gesture does work. on other Laptop 3 finger gesture works. Please help because I rely heavily on this touchpad gesture.

click on menu enter "Terminal" in search, open Terminal and enter the command in that Terminal window press enter now you have to enter password

What does lsmod say when wireless is working/not working.
Maybe the Kernel has its own module for your chipset and loads this instead of lwfinger's.
Does wifi work when you resume from suspend?

just out of curiosity. Here in the forum people are complaining about this, ubuntu forums is filled with comlpaints about this. Dozens of Bugreports are filled and nothing is happening. I mean solution is easy just roll out older version of networkmanager, untill this is fixed. Can anyone explain me...
