Re: What Software R U Using for System Backups
Clonezilla -- no muss, no fuss. Just a straight image the whole drive in case of failure and restore the image to get back up and working pronto.

Calendar Appointments [SOLVED]
[SOLVED] Solved by simply using the calendar app instead of trying to access it as described below: Maybe I'm missing something but if not then I have a software/application suggestion. . . In the bottom right (LM Cinnamon) the time is displayed and when I click on it a calendar pops up/opens. I hav...

...my go to for everything enjoyable. Doesn't matter if it's based off of Ubuntu, or the Debian Cinnamon, or the Manjaro Cinnamon, etc. I just keep going back to Cinnamon. I've been around long enough (started with a TRS-80 Model III and a cassette player) to have tried most everything at least twic...

Re: ArmA 3
Well, hmm. I've let a month go by to see if there may be feedback on this thread... *crickets* Just in case people may have looked over my question: Is there anyone that has had success in running ArmA 3 on Linux - and has been able to log in to the servers that their 'Windows' friends play on? If y...

Re: ArmA 3
I would like to hear from someone whom has actually had success/experience/wisdom in getting ArmA3 to run on Linux; not just advice to go read support forum posts as my personal experience with this process has been horrendous. And if you take the time to read through all the support pages on this t...

ArmA 3
I just can't get enough of this game! https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=arma+3 IF I could get it to run on Mint then I'd be as happy as a pig in mud eating watermelon :) Tried following the instructions on the dev's page, WINE, etc... just can't get the Client to run. WHY can't these comp...

Re: What games are you playing / are you looking forward to?
I've kicked ArmA 2 to the curb and am now playing ArmA 3 full-time. Does anyone know how to get ArmA 3 to run on Linux? If so, I can kick Windows to the curb as the ONLY reason I'm running Windows is for that game. Maybe here ? https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/184461-arma-3-on-game-on-linux/?hl=li...

Gaming Linux & Microsoft Fears
I really think that Microsoft has a large fear when it comes to gaming on Linux.
If the ARMA series, Call of Duty, and Battlefield were to run natively (NOT emulated) on Linux they would instantly loose millions of Windows users.

Re: Why do you dual-boot?
Let me explain what I mean when I say that I am in the second transition phase working my way to the third... I dual boot but not in the way you would think of dual-booting. First, you need to understand that the ONLY reason I have Windows on another hard-drive is because I like to run ARMA II from ...

Re: P770ZM -- Need help please
mmc0 is the multimedia card reader. Is there an option to disable that device in your BIOS/UEFI setup or otherwise remove it? Unfortunately, no. I have looked through every page/tab in BIOS/UEFI and I see no setting which would allow me to turn this off. Appears that it will have to be addressed at...
