Re: export contacts and photos from iPhone to Mint

As an iphone 5c user, let me sympathize with your issue. Let me encourage you, though... this is do-able. (It just isn't going to be as simple as plugging the phone in. Re: Making Gimp look and feel like Photoshop

Great job on the toolbar icon set. I've been a photoshop veteran for quite a number of years, and I confess, muscle memory is only a huge advantage as long as there are constants. Re: Opera vs. mintinstall... causing errors when trying to install packages [SOLVED]

The 'last resort' method in this post solved the issue of the 'Opera stuck in limbo.' https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=233205&p=1237268&hilit=half+installed+package#p1237268 I ended up sudo-editing the /var/lib/dpkg/status file (After backing it up) to omit the 'opera' entry. Re: Pinnacle Dazzle DVC 100 with sound

Sound Fix: I tried routing the audio from the headphone jack of the camera to the mic jack on the PC and could clearly see audio was coming in. Levels were fluctuating with the action on camera. However, GUVCviewer was still unable to record the audio... ... then inspiration struck like lightning, ...

Re: Opera vs. mintinstall... causing errors when trying to install packages

a few more details:

mintinstall is version 7.6.3
packagemanager is showing Opera with a 'green' box next to it, and every indication in Package manager is that Opera is fully installed.

Opera vs. mintinstall... causing errors when trying to install packages [Solved]

I installed Opera and everything seemed to work fine the first time I used it. However, when I attempted to remove it using mintinstall, the un-installation ran into errors. Now, when I attempt to remove or install packages, I get an error like the following: jastombaugh@jastombaugh-Laptop ~ $ gksu ...
