Hello, I have backed up all the disk partitions as separate cloneziLa images. This includes the Win recovery partition.I have also made a recovery USB stick.I feel the stick is redundant now? If I need to transfer this image to another disk, will a simple restore work? Or do I need to do some other ...

Re: Is Mint dead?

I'm starting to think whether installing Mint was a mistake. Your website is from the 90s, everything is outdated, there are so many bugs & it feels like they aren't going to be fixed. In order to register you need to get a key from a chat room...... That's... Very... Unprofessional... The password...

I use Clonezilla to make a complete image of my Win10/Mint19.1 dual-boot system; never had a problem restoring.

Re: Interleaving memory

Just to emphasize what others have been saying, dual-channel is automatic when supported and backed by an even number of architecturally matched DIMMs. I.e., unless you have two (very) different DIMMs you are if your system supports it in the first place already using dual channel. Thank you. That ...

Re: Interleaving memory

You stated provided he currently only has 1 stick in a machine that has 2 RAM slots And I have 2 memory sticks in 2 slots. Hence it looks like interleaving wont work. There is only one way to find out if it should work and that's to read the machine's documentation then verify that you have the cor...

{SOLVED} UEFI system cant boot from pen drive

I faced problems booting from a USB stick. Spent some hours trying. The answer is that the stick should be formatted as FAT32 and it works.

Re: Interleaving memory

Both Address and Data buses are in continuous use... That has nothing to do with anything at all. you can't improve their performance. If the RAM is matched, and the motherboard supports interleaving, or multi-channel DMA then he most certainly can, provided he currently only has 1 stick in a machi...

Please suggest how to do it.
You start by reading the manual for your motherboard.
I never got the mother board manual . Bios has nothing regarding this. The motherboard indicated by inxi is HP laptop 80CC v: 99.52 .

Re: Create identical computers

With Clonezilla there are good chances that it will work. It's the kernel that provides most of the drivers hece the Clone may work. Can be tested quickly. Both should be either 32 or 64 bits. 64 bit clone won't work on a 32 bit machine.

well thanks for your reply but i fixed it yesterday by changing Image.VERSION to Image.PILVERSION
as Image object did'nt have VERSION attribute in my release of PIL, hopefully it might help someone in near future.
I really can't understand the meaning of this.

L+f is not a file but directory. It has a purpose and you should be able to backup including it. I backed up the partition including the directory and never faced any problems.
