No question of Windows drivers working on a Linux machine.Most probably a newer kernel is installed which has the drivers. You can boot and test to all the installed kernels by choosing advanced option in grub menu.

Also ha e a look at the slew of amd Ryzen processors released or in the pipeline. Some have 7 nm technology,which will enable professor to run cooler. There are Intel to Amd comparisons on line too.

I beleive Eclipse in the repositories is an old version. You can download the laatest one for Linux from the eclipse site and install. Before installing . remove the existing version.

Recommended a fresh install when you upgrade from 18 to 19 hence some glitches are expected. That's my take. May be somebody else has some other ideas.
