By any chance are you running as root or at least running nemo as root because that is the only way I can reproduce that error?
Probably by

Code: Select all

sudo apt purge gvfs-backends
would create the error. I didnt try it to reproduce the error.

Re: [SOLVED] Connecting to remote Mint machine using Nemo error check gvfs installation

The solution was to run

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install --reinstall gvfs-backends
. Logout and login again. Without logging out it doesnt work, I dont know why.

Re: [SOLVED] Mint 20 totally locks up, generally unstable and various oddities

Terminal command india -Fxz|grep -i temp will give the temperature. Please copy paste it. Thanks for that, it will come in handy. No it won't! I suspect an autocorrect error. Should have been this: inxi -Fxz|grep -i temp Thanks for catching that. Indeed that was smart typing by my phone.

Re: Update to kernel 5.9 is a must?

Ask first, then act in future. Also take backups or snapshots to restore from. This isnt a Vmware forum. Who could have predicted that installing vmware 16 then the install of Kernel 5.9 will create this problem. Google helps in solving many problems. I have CZ backup of my system, though a bit dat...
