Re: 18.3 upgrade to 19 failed

I hope you have the backup.
I guess it offers a dry run as an option? Was it successful?
And anyway it is advised to do a clean install for upgrade from 18 to 19.

Since it's a USB connection, when you plug it into a running Linux box, what does dmesg show?
[/quotlsusb detects it as shown in the previous post.

Re: Is my system good enough for gaming?

My HP laptop has an A10-5750M with Dual Graphics and it's just as ^ says, even that's only good for older 3D games or 2D titles. The other problem is that the drivers are really outdated and if I use Mint with the Mesa drivers, it seems to only use the APU and not the dedicated GPU. It's becoming a...

Can docker be used to pack the Windows games instead of running them under Windows as a VM?

You can open a ticket with TV.
They are going to help with a version 11 issue when they are on version 13? You so silly ;-)
I am trying to help you. Really speaking have you found that v11 is out of support? If I were you, I would accept all help, silly or otherwise very gratefully

Is my system good enough for gaming?

Hello
My CPU is AMD a8 quad core processor, 8gb ddr3 memory and 170gb HDD partition. Now 75 gb is occupied. Will steam games work decently?
Thanks for any responses.

In advanced mode in grub you can select your previous kernel to boot. Choose it and see if you can boot successfully.

Re: Questions re: partitioning.

This will help. https://linuxmint-installation-guide.readthedocs.io/en/latest/partitioning.html For / which has Linux 60 gb is enough. The other partitions size is according to your data. When you have home partition it's not required to have data partition. Let grub reside in default place. It does...

Re: Has the disk gone bad?

Back to your question, I would try the HDD in several different HDD USB enclosures on several different PCs. If no go, I have opened a HDD, removed the disks and installed them in a good identical HDD and copied the data to a different HDD or PC (the environment must be dust & lint-free and enclose...
