Re: How Will We Update to 19.2?

Upgrades within a release (so 19.1 to 19.2) are usually handled pretty automatically for the user, through the Update Manager. Re: Backup and remove windows partitions

I don't think that you can achieve what you want to do in the way you want to do it.. :D If you just copy all the Windows files then you still will not have something that you could later turn into something that would boot to Windows 10. Re: CPU usage SUPER high (100% on some cores!!)

I would certainly try another browser first - easy options first. :D
Opera works well for me - I gave up on FireFox a long time ago because of gradual slowness unless I restarted.
Brave & Vivaldi also has plenty of support on this forum if Opera does not grab you..

Re: Erasing hard drive to reinstall Mint

After you make changes in GParted to any partitions you need to click on the tickmark in order to implement the changes.
GParted will complete the changes you have made & then you should have the change flags available.

Re: [PHOTOS] Pix / Shotwell or any better ?

I've tried but can't figure out how to do it: it seems that the "higher" level i can make them navigate is my HOME partition, not any "further". I'll try ti send an image to make my issue more clear. BTW, I'm using 18.04 LTS and the lastest version of those programs. Quite a few programs are like t...

Re: How to make partitions, and why?

Point of clarification on Multiboot.
Only 1 partition is created on the target USB drive.
When you start the computer with the Multiboot USB as the drive you will be presented with a menu similar to below offering you the OS's you have stored on the USB as boot options.

Re: How to make partitions, and why?

The text is so small that I can barely read it with a magnifying glass! The font size in mine is as per my screen shot. I didn't do anything to increase fonts, although I have in the past via the Settings - Fonts route. Particularly the font scale up to 1.3 - although I did up the other font sizes ...

Re: New Install questions (SOLVED)

Glad it went well for you... as you say, now the fun starts.. :D

If you use Timeshift then I suggest that you place the snapshots on the 1TB drive.
I think that the default settings can be save to root & that fills that up (with bad consequences) pretty quickly..
