With that situation (Windows has left the disk in a state of hibernation) you do not get an error message. You just cannot amend the files.

Re: Accessing NTFS drive with Nemo
Great!!
Can you go back to your first post and click on the edit icon (the pen) and then add the word "Solved" to your original title.
That shows other members that you no longer need help & that you have a solution if they have a similar issue.

Re: Accessing NTFS drive with Nemo
You could try using Disks.
Highlight the 999 drive and click on the Gear icon. Select Repair Filesystem - (my text is feint because the disk cannot be mounted to do this.) If that doesn't work then you might need a Windows machine to try and fix the error.

Re: Upgrading from mint 20 to mint 22 with cinnamon.
To upgrade from Mint 20 to Mint 22 is a herculean task that I would not personally attempt. It would be far easier to install a new version of Mint 22 and then try and amend it near to how you have your Mint 20 set up. How difficult that will be depends on how much customisation you have done to Min...

I don't know how you are searching for your posts, but they are there..
The easiest way to find your posts is hitting on the "Hamburger" Quick links icon at the left of the screen & selecting 'Your posts'.

Re: Sucuri website Firewall !!
OK, I will go through how I would resolve the situation if I was the OP. First check with a IP tracking company to see if the IP address is blocked. I picked https://whatismyipaddress.com/blacklist-check Add the IP address - the first time in my post I picked a random IP address by adding 12 to the ...

Re: Seeking advice about paper
You need to be careful & not just go for a high GSM of paper. Too high and you will get issues with the folds cracking. The printing process can add a lacquer as well, although you could go with a high gloss paper to alleviate that need. Cracking with folding can be a real issue and destroy the ...

Create a Hiren Boot CD to install the new BIOS.

Re: Backup Tool (BT)
Why is that? Just curious ... They are large and, being sandboxed, require some effort if you want them to see other parts of your installation. I much prefer to use System Packages from the Software Manager, or, in the few instances where I want the most up to date version, go to the authors web s...

I am puzzled why this discussion is still going on.. I thought I explained that Sucuri use IP Blacklists supplied by others. I also thought that I explained that it is a fairly easy process to discover which IP Blacklist generator is blacklisting any IP address. If the address needs unblocking then ...

Re: Backup Tool (BT)
No, I have never used Deja-Dup. I have only used Backup Tool. I am an avid user of VirtualBox. Whenever a new edition of Mint comes out I throw up a new guest (usually the Beta) and then use Backup Tool to try and re-create in the new version what I am using in my daily driver. There are, obviously,...

You could have just selected the

The

If you can remember which ones you installed, yes..
To me, that was the advantage of the Applications list, I didn't need to remember..
