Re: Will Linux Mint 10 Support My USB WiFI Adapter?

Can I just simply download a working driver and install it like I can do in Windows? MidnightWatcher , I think you need to understand that this is GNU/Linux and you have to do things in the Linux way, if you want to do something the Windows way then you should go back to Windows. As it comes to you...

Re: Request for a CD edition of Mint KDE for next version

Why don't we have a Bluray version of Mint KDE??? I mean, CD's and DVD's are old technology now. You'll see, now I'm sitting in my chair made of platinum (gold??? c'mon, gold looks so cheap!!!) writing in my computer with a Sandy bridge processor (isn't even in production yet, but, you know, this is...

How to: Fixing Ndiswrapper

Today I installed LMDE in a small partition in my computer. Because of my WiFi wireless adapter I have to use Ndiswrapper, so I started Ndisgtk and tried to install my XP driver just to get the next message: "FATAL: module ndiswrapper found" This is a bug I already faced in Debian, now I've just fou...

Re: Which Mint for 256MB RAM and Pentium III?

LXDE without any doubt, Mint XFCE is based in Xubuntu, which uses a lot of Gnome libraries and so, is as light as Gnome. In the other hand, as somebody said, Fluxbox isn't very user friendly.

Re: USB ports not working in Mint 9 Gnome

Uh I'm going to try to connect my devices at boot, cause I use a WiFi wireless adapter, ant it always work, maybe it's because it is connected at boot.

When I do "$ lsusb" in a terminal, it shows me my device, but "$ fdisk -l" doesn't, so I can't mount it.

USB ports not working in Mint 9 Gnome

Just yesterday I installed Mint 9 Gnome and my USB ports aren't working at all. I know they're functional cause they worked in Mint 9 KDE and LXDE, and right now they're working in XP.

Some help, please???

Traditional Wallpaper

A new one... Now that I've been able to use my old scanner in Mint, I started digitalizing some artwork I have overthere. First this one, isn't finished yet, but I liked it so far. It's based in mexican traditional art. Hope you like it and leave me a comment if you're a deviant. http://th06.deviant...

Re: How to make Helena appear as Karmic?

I had the very same problem than you, and as you said, I couldn't find the sources in /etc/apt/sources.list. So I did this: Open your menu, then go to administration, and choose "Software sources", go to the tab "Third-Party Software" and you'll find there a list of the installed repositories, there...

Hope you like it, made it from a photograph I took in my garden, a beautiful green beetle. I'd be very pleased if you are so nice to give me some feedback and advices to improve it. Made it with Gimp. http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2009/361/3/7/Mint_Beetle_by_RevesDesigns.png Links: Full Screen: ...
