The vast majority of homes in the SSA have them. They are also popular in sports bars for ...

16:10 all the way. Otherwise I'd rather go back to 4:3.

If you really want privacy turn the PC off and read a book.
Otherwise use Firefox with uBlock Origin.

Re: password managers: which one do you use?

I'd never use an online password manager. I don't even want to go into technical details, it's just a matter of principle, I keep everything local, in my desktop's SSDs or HDDs, passwords, files, e-mails etc.
That said, I use KeePassXC.

Re: how do I play games on Linux?

I disagree with some comments above that Linux is "not for gaming". Steam/Proton is the best way (by far) to game on Linux. I'd swallow my pride and use it. After all Valve is a different big corporation, it does a lot for the Linux world. The GPU drivers are already in the Kernel, no need...

I managed to access the forum via a proxy server and others had/are having the same issue, it looks it's not on my end. I'll just wait till things get back to normal. Thanks folks for your help.

There is no problem with those dependencies, they are pulled because the program needs them in order to work. They will occupy some disk space -not much- and will not cause any issues. If you install another KDE program, say Marble for ex., it will use the dependencies already installed with Kdenliv...
