Re: Bluetooth not being discovered and not discovering

Are you using the Fitbit Dongle ? as I believe Galileo only works with the Dongle at the moment, they are working on native bluetooth support

Go to https://bitbucket.org/benallard/galileo and look at the issues

Re: Boot keeps crashing

I had the same issue, I loaded Mint 18.1 from a DVD, trashed it and went to load it again and it kept crashing.

I burned a fresh DVD and it loaded 1st time.

Re: Linux Mint 18.1 “Serena” Cinnamon released!

Just put Mint 18.1 on an HP EliteBook 8440p.

Works a treet !!!

Only issue I had when installing was that it did not like Centos 7 that was already installed on the disk, I had to fdisk it and delete the partition, it then installed.

I have a LaserJet 4050T, and I print via a JetDirect box via standard unix IP printing and it works perfectly.

Re: I've made a mess - desperate!

I agree with the printer setup part, I have an old HP LaserJet 4050T and a new HP PhotoSmart 5520, Mint found both of them without any issues. It would be interesting to know what issues you had with the printer/scanner setup.
