I bit of errata in comments:

since the comments says save to the Desktop,
Desktop should be in the path to launch it:)

the line
## sudo sh /home/yourLoginID/beryl3er
should read
## sudo sh /home/yourLoginID/Desktop/beryl3er

unless you have decided to save it eksewhere

yes
If you resize the partition to leave enough unallocate space before booting the live-CD you can then boot live-cd

when install eith choose guided using largest continous space or manually
partitioning options. then things should run smoother

just ignore all them messages
run it manually select the lastest ati driver
and worry about nvidia later, if you need xlg, nvidia stuff may be needed
