Re: Page scrolls to bottom automatically

Did you ever clean out your keyboard with compressed air? If not, prepare to be amazed at what comes out. We have three cats and cleaning the keyboard of my laptop results in enough fur to knit a fourth one.

Less than 2GB of RAM? I agree with Pjotr: that's not a Cinnamon machine, that's an XFCE machine.

Hello and welcome! Most of us here are not programmers; I'm certainly no programmer and neither is my mother. But we both happily use Mint. So don't worry too much, you will probably do fine!

Re: Make an older Kernel boot by default.

That's easy to explain:
- Open the Update Manager
- Open the View menu and choose Linux Kernels
- Choose the right series number from the list on the left, then scroll to the installed kernel on the right
- Select the installed kernel you want to remove, and you'll see the Remove button.

Re: Having trouble with my new installation

It doesn't sound like you installed Mint yet. It sounds like you burned it to a USB stick and are now having trouble booting your machine from it. Possibly because Windows was not fully shut down but that's a guess.

Re: Shortcuts[copy + paste] not working in Terminal

There are several options. You can use the menu items at the top bar of the terminal window, you can use the rightclick menu, or you can use the following keyboard combos: copy = shift + ctrl + c paste = shift + ctrl + v Normally, ctrl +p is print, not paste. Paste is ctrl + v, but in the terminal t...

Normally this is done by removing the kernels that don't work well on your machine.

With regards to Waterfox, I'd say yes. As far as I know it can run all the add-ons that FF56 can.

Re: Do you use Windows?

My answer also does not have a good fit among the selections... I use Windows and Mint almost interchangeably - from 60-40 (Windows-Mint) to 50-50. I am migrating my personal usage more-and-more to Linux, but my clients are (essentially) all Windows. I have to keep up with Windows so I can support ...

Re: Support for .wdp files

It's not elegant, but most likely Irfanview can do it, and it's possible to run Irfanview on Wine.

Also possibly relevant: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/406 ... powershell
You already have imagemagick pre-installed.

People who are concerned about CDNs should consider installing the browser add-on DecentralEyes. https://decentraleyes.org/
But the original post does not even mention browsers, and as such it's very unclear to me. Some elaboration would help here.
