Re: Explain it to me like I'm Five

I would recommend you install 2 distros. For basic and every day stuff install Linux Mint and for learning computers like navigating command line, pentesting, ethical hacking etc... Get the popular Kali Linux and do a dual boot install. Sorry, but I don't think that's good advice for a newcomer. Wh...

Not sure what exactly you mean, but it f...

We're here to help, but we can't do that if you won't let us. Why in 2024 after 30 years of linux do i...

It's best to paste all of it. That way you will also get the code tags that will make your info easier to read. There is nothing privacy sensitive in the output, because it's filtered, and it gives helpers a complete overview.

It sounds like you are the perfect person to write a better one; in fact you have pretty much already done so. If you will post it in Tutorials, I will gladly make it sticky.

Re: Keyboards and rodents

I don't like mice at all. On my laptop, I use the trackpoint that most Thinkpads come with; at my desk, I use a trackball. As for keyboards, I use a Cherry Stream and I really like it. Cherry keyboards are of decent build quality.
