What does 'pretty' mean when you say it? Taste is a very personal thing.
Have you bothered looking at available themes and icon sets? I like the Paper icons, but you may not.

Clicking the scroll wheel automagically pastes to the target
Or the third/middle mouse button, if you don't have a scroll wheel.

Finally: it's 4.17, not 2.17. You might want to fix your topic title and first message.
That explains a lot... Silly me, for always assuming that people mean to write what they end up writing. :?

Asking other people what they think is not snark or garbage; neither is expressing that you personally do not support a certain suggestion. I recommend that you have your snarkmeter calibrated. And if you feel that someone is being rude to you, don't respond in kind but alert the mods (there is a 'R...

Greetings all. Brand new here. Been away from Linux for a long time, but decided to return to it with Linux Mint 19. Unfortunately, during the installation, I've encountered the same troubles with grub2-efi-amd64-signed discussed in this thread. However disconnecting my internet connection before t...

Hello, can you please post the result of the following terminal command, and enclose it in code tags? That's the button marked </>.
This is needed for pretty much any question about your system, so it's a good habit to post it straight away.

I will google xfce to better understand what it means
I'll save you some Googling:
Mint comes in several versions. One of them is called XFCE, and it's lightweight, making it more suitable for older or underpowered computers than Cinnamon. That's the one you have now.

This is a forum for suggestions, not put-downs. If you don't like a suggestion you are free to keep your opinion to yourself. That's not how it works. You post on a public forum, you're going to get feedback. It's quite likely that not all of it will be positive; you'll have to learn to live with t...

Re: New user worried about Microsoft

I think you meant GitHub and Canonical, but those are just typos... it happens.
In any case, Linux Mint is not owned by Canonical, so buying that would not make anyone owner of Linux Mint.
