After all, Presentation is just as important as content  That is an opinion that you get to have, but it's still an opinion. Personally I'm not convinced by the arguments in this thread. I would prefer if the team sticks with the numbering convention they have been following. I'm perfectly fi...

It sounds like what you created is not a bootable USB stick. I'm not familiar with Zorin or the tools it comes with, sorry.

Re: How to install latest browser after downloading it?
Yes, it would. If you make it into a bootable stick, then nothing else will be left on the stick; in the process of creating the bootable stick, it's formatted which also means it's wiped. So it sounds like you just copied the .iso to the stick and that will not work. You'll need to read up on how t...

Any chance you can get someone local to help you? It would make your experience a lot safer and easier. Your current system is not getting security updates anymore, which poses a risk.

You shouldn't extract a .deb. ... there is nothing to extract. Try doubleclicking it instead, and your package manager should kick in.
However, I doubt that this version of Opera will run since your OS is outdated. Have you considered upgrading to a supported version of Mint?

Not at all. You can even use Timeshift from a live Mint on an USB stick. Provided that you've previously let it make a snapshot, of course.marmaladeskies wrote: ⤴Thu Mar 28, 2024 5:34 pm Time shift is out as I can only make out empty boxes.

Click-by-click is not going to be easy as we can't see the screen. We don't know which desktop environment is installed, and whether there are specific customizations. But you should expect to find a main menu somewhere in the bar that is across the screen, usually at the bottom. The menu button is ...

I have many files and applications under LM19.3 and a clean install would mean loosing these. You can and should backup your files (this can be as simple as copying them to an external storage medium) but you can't keep your applications. The same applications would most likely not run on a newer v...

An easy way is to open the Update Manager, then the View Menu, then Linux Kernels. This lists all the kernels that are available to you and shows which ones of those are installed. You can also remove / install kernels from there.

Hello, can you please post your system information? This can be found in the system reports application, on the tab system information . You can copy it from there and paste it into your next post. This information is needed for pretty much any question about your system, so it's a good habit to pos...
