Re: Firejail problem w/ Firefox & xreader

Thanks for the reply gm10. I dont have a clue how to write my own profile. What I did do was copy the firefox profile file to a text file. This is the profile used when it fails. Then I did this: cd /usr/local/bin sudo unlink firefox Then I added firejail to a desktop launcher and started firefox. F...

Re: What's the best Linux income tax (Canadian) prep software?

I have been using TurboTax with Win7 in virtualbox. As win7 is going away, TT may no longer work with Win7. I am thinking of going to Win10 in virtualbox.
Just have to figure out how to disable the tracking in Win10 running in virtualbox.

Re: setup audio in linux mint with USB audio interface

My 2 cents. There are a lot of usb devices that do not work with Linux. The specs for yours says it will work with Cubase. Windows or Mac only. I
had the same problem with a Tascam usb device. I gave up trying to use it with linux. Just my 2 cents, sorry cant offer more help.

Firejail is running with firefox by using the command: firejail firefox. firejail --list 6870:starsailor::firejail firefox N...

Fixed it. Changed the name of the directory that was causing the freeze. Then removed it from the background app. No idea why this was happening.

Just posting this info as an FYI. BDM Publications, Volume 38, Spring 2019, magazine titled Coding for Linux has a step by step tutorial on installing Mint 19.1 Cinnamon 64bit on a windows 10 computer. Also how to install and run Mint in Virtualbox. On line by subscription I think. Book stores may c...

Re: VirtualBox error with kernel 4.4.0-143

I have this problem with kernel 4.4.0-143. I tried to install virtualbox with kernel 143 and it failed every time regardless of version. Switch to the 142 kernel and virtualbox installed and runs win7 with no errors. Since I update everything all the time and run the latest version of packages inclu...
