Help removing that <mydist> source (SOLVED)

Re: canon -deb.tar.gz file question.

Thanks for the replies. The extra control is ink levels and printing on both sides. Can live without these features. As for security, its a risk I know.
After "un-zipping" there is install.sh file. Will decide, thanks for the pro and cons.

canon -deb.tar.gz file question. (SOLVED)

I have a Canon MX532 printer installed and it works. Canon has a tarball (mx530series-4.10-1-deb.tar.gz) driver for this printer, which I am assuming gives more control over the printer than what I have now. Question, is it worth installing this for the extra control or do without? Optional info: Ta...

Re: Document Viewer

I have been working on this problem for a few days. I think I may have found something, but would like a second opinion. I am running Mint 18.3 Cinnamon. I also updated firejail to Version - firejail-0.9.56-LTS_1_amd64.deb. I think firejail maybe the cause of this problem. From the terminal: starsai...

Re: Connecting a network printer again (SOLVED)

I fixed my problem so I am posting what I did for anyone else who may have a similiar problem. First, I was trying to print from a Mac to my Mint CPU with a usb connected printer. So I reconfigured the home router to bridge. This put all devices on the same subnet. On the Mint CPU, edited the smb.co...

Re: Connecting a network printer again

Ok, I bypassed the wifi router and the Mac found the printer. But when I print a test page, the print queue says a communication error has occured. The printer never prints anything. The printer status changes though. I'm close, so close.
