Click the controls button on the far right of the Chrome screen ("Customize and control Google Chrome")
Then choose Help and Report an issue from the drop-down menus.

In Peppermint, pick Menu > System Tools > Software Manager
Search for and install the HPLIP packages (they are for HP Linux Printing and Imaging)
Once installed, choose the printer and scanner setup for HP Envy 4502 within HPLIP.
Verify the setup with Menu > System Tools > Printers

If that is a 32-bit version of Chrome, it is no longer supported by Google.

In that case be sure to check the Tails installation instructions. There are some security considerations when running Tails in a virtual machine. Apparently a live USB installation is preferable. It appears that the point here is precisely that the shut-downs are not random. It seems that whenever the processor moves from an idle state to a load condition you get a shut-down. That sequence of events fits the scenario that Mute Ant has given. So it is likely that the power supply or processor...

I my experience with Tails, I simply download the iso from the Tails website and burn it to a usb. It's meant to be a stand-alone Live system.
