Re: Update Manager Level Visibility

Pjotr I did refer to that article when I set up my update preferences. The Safe and Visible boxes for Level Four and Five are unchecked. I thought that by doing so I would not receive updates for those Security Levels, perhaps I was mistaken? [img]http://s284.photobucket.com/user/ParanaSlim26/media/...

Re: vboxclient the virtualbox kernel service is not running

Thanks Paladin2019

This worked for me " sudo apt-mark hold virtualbox-guest-utils virtualbox-guest-x11 virtualbox-guest-dkms ".

Update Manager Level Visibility

Good morning,

The HELP section of Update Manager states "The Update Manager only shows 'visible' updates in the list." and I have Levels 4 & 5 Safe & Visible boxes unchecked but I still receive Level 5 updates.

Is there a way to stop this?

Cheers, Will

Re: Cinnamon Menu in Xfce

Perhaps I'm not stating my goal correctly. I don't wish to change either menu but simply get the Menu descriptions/Names to read the same. Example: In Cinnamon application #1 reads ABC in the menu. In Xfce the same application is AB. Is there a way to rename the menu items in Xfce to read the same a...

Cinnamon Menu in Xfce

Greetings,

I'm running Mint 17.2 Cinnamon on my desktop PC and Mint 17.2 Xfce on my older laptop.

Is there a way to get the same menu on the laptop as the desktop?

Sometimes it's a bit annoying when the application names are not the same on each menu.

Cheers, Will
