Re: How much more powerful cpu will be required for LM 19?

If you are satisfied with your current performance, great but if you wish to make it more snappy then you can address any bottlenecks. For example, an ssd is a significant improvement over a spinning disc type drive. Otherwise just enjoy your system as is. :) If you are just bored with your machine ...

Re: How much more powerful cpu will be required for LM 19?

Hello, I know that LM 19 isnt out yet. And this is a rather vague question.I have an AMD a8 7401 processor. So will I require a newer processor to run LM 19? Or the answer will be know only after installing and trying LM 19? Installing LM brings me to another topic i.e.can I backup up only the appl...

Re: Minimalist Panel & Menu

My latest minimal panel May 20, 2018. Session Manager applet is now used with a custom red icon. The Menu retains the custom gear icon. Note: The Menu launches with a click anywhere on the Menu icon or its text so is a huge target. https://i.imgur.com/tEZvVLm.png ......................................

Re: Workspace is fun

After a while my use of Workspaces has evolved. Now I am only using two workspaces and spend almost zero time fussing with them. Still, I use the dock and if I wish to actually view an active program I can open Hot Corners with a swipe into either right corner. That rarely happens anymore. I have st...

Re: [SOLVED] Is There A Cinnamon 18.3 Dock?

Thanks for the links. And just because I can, here's my current fairly minimal desktop with Plank at the bottom and a top panel with a menu, notifications and power off on autohide: One more small thing I thought of; I only use the two right corners (top and bottom) for Hot corners to launch Worksp...

Re: [SOLVED] Is There A Cinnamon 18.3 Dock?

Wow, Ozo - that is impressive! I had many questions and then read and re-read your post which answered most of those of those questions (I've had a couple[sic] of glasses of wine) :D So, only one question: why not create another double-sized panel on the right-hand side and stick a power-off icon t...

Re: [SOLVED] Is There A Cinnamon 18.3 Dock?

From my rather limited experience Cairo-dock is a lot more customisable but tends to crash /freeze / become unresponsive more. I've gone back to using Plank. Yes Plank is an excellent dock. It is especially nice when used in conjunction with workspaces. When the dock is on the bottom it works well....

Linux Mint 18.3

An excellent choice for the Aubergene theme.

Re: How To Enlarge Desktop Panel

You could reset the panel to default. Paste this in the terminal: gsettings reset-recursively org.cinnamon Be advised this will wipe out some settings like the theme and the transparent panel, etc but it is simple to redo that. I am sure there are more sophisticated solutions to the actual problem b...

Re: Osmo does not retain preferences after restart

I am going with the Chrome browsers calendar for now so it is not a big deal. I may look at Osmo again when 19.0 arrives. The icon for it on my bookmarks bar is the current days date which is helpful. It does not have my theme color but is a simple calendar that is very accessible, just what I wante...

Osmo does not retain preferences after restart

I deselect Monday as first day of the week and it is then Sunday but after a restart the first day reverts to Monday. It is Osmo version 0.2.14. I also can't find the resolution I need (1920 x 1080) via Google.
Do you mean you can not find the wallpaper in 1920 x 1080?

See my edited comment above.

Re: Where's the default Mint 18.3 wallpaper?

You could simply set it as wallpaper by right clicking it in the folder where you have it saved. I just grabbed it from your post and selected wallpaper

EDIT: Create a folder with the photo in it and add that to Backgrounds.

+1 to that. I did that and fixed a bios issue.

My key for bios is the delete key.
