Re: Link speed problem on TL-WN823N wireless USB adapter

Pjotr,

Excellent, thank you for your help. I now have 144Mbps with 100% reception.

I have seen you name on a number of network responses. Do you cover any other areas? I have two other threads, one for connecting to an external monitor or projector, and a second for scanning.

Many thanks.

Re: Link speed problem on TL-WN823N wireless USB adapter

TP-LINK provides a makefile with instructions to complete these parameters: ifeq ($(CONFIG_PLATFORM_I386_PC), y) EXTRA_CFLAGS += -DCONFIG_LITTLE_ENDIAN SUBARCH := $(shell uname -m | sed -e s/i.86/i386/) ARCH ?= $(SUBARCH) CROSS_COMPILE ?= KVER := $(shell uname -r) KSRC ?= /lib/modules/$(KVER)/build ...

Re: Link speed problem on TL-WN823N wireless USB adapter

 I've been stupid. Realtek Semiconductor Corp. Spec for RTL8192CU 802.11n WLAN Adapter states:

72.2Mbps receive PHY rate and 72.2Mbps transmit PHY rate using 20MHz bandwidth.

Shall try driver provided by TP-LINK.

Link speed problem on TL-WN823N wireless USB adapter

I am using a TP-LINK wireless USB adapter, model TL-WN823N, on a Dell Inspiron mini, details below in the lsusb and inxi output. The home hub is running at 20MHz giving a 144Mbs link speed. The notebook is dual boot with an OS that it is anathema to mention but ends with 7. The other OS reports a li...

Re: Connecting to AiO printer for scanning

If the scanner is not working, you will have to contact the maintainer or the printer manufacturer. Have just tested scanner in other OS on this machine (dual boot) and scan worked. Maybe it is being blocked by your firewall. Disabling firewall made no difference. I am assuming that scanning functi...

Re: Connecting to AiO printer for scanning

I have searched on Synaptic for c2exp-27, and a package, printer-driver-c2esp, version 27~rc1-1, shows as installed. Will installing from the download be a problem or cause what is working, the printing, to fail?

Re: Connecting to AiO printer for scanning

"Do you have the drivers for printer and scanner from the Sourceforge page? [url]http://sourceforge.net/projects/cupsdriverkodak/"

I have downloaded and expanded this but cannot work out what to instal. Any suggestions?

Connecting to AiO printer for scanning

I have installed Linux Mint 17.3 Cinnamon 32 bit version 2.8.6 on a Dell Inspiron mini 1011. I have connected to a Kodak Hero 5.1 AiO printer on a network connection. Printer is not identified as a scanning device: I have tried Simple Scan and XSane and get the same response from both. Printing is O...
