huh? you can have as many different environments as you want, then choose from the gdm screen which one you want to boot into, i currently have kde4beta, icewm, Gnome, xfce

yah i know what you mean, luckily for me i rarely have to go into ttys anymore, the only exception is nvidia drivers. so i dont bother to set large res terminals.

im kindof dissapointed that the bugs werent sorted for gutsy, most specificaly, the fact that openoffice crashes if your using a theme that uses the pixbuf engine couple of other minor ones, but thats the only showstopper for me, its been there for months so i was expecting it to get sorted before r...

or alternatively you can run
sudo ln -s ~/.themes /root/.themes
sudo ln -s ~/.icons /root/.icons
to make the ones in your home folder apply to everything

ah ok np :) the unselect all button still has the same function as the clear button tho,
one thing i thought i might report, when you select the changelog tab, the program hangs for a 3-4 seconds, i wonder if there might be a way to resolve this by threading out the aptitude command.

it supports it fine, imho theres no point in using the x86_64 version of ubuntu+derivatives, phoronix did a benchmark that showed there was absolutely no benefit for most things, the exception was video encoding, and the software problems of 64 bit are too much hassle or me.

windows slowly improved up till it peaked at 2K since then its just got worse again, its like climbing a mountain then falling off the other side, to continue the analogy vista is about 5m from the valley floor. :)
