Not anymore I ended up just upgrading from Cinnamon 20.3 (the one I had the kernel problem with) to Cinnamon 21.1 and everything works fine now (fresh installs have a way of doing that )

This is what I ended up doing. I'm now running Cinnamon 21.1 w/kernel 5.15.0-69 and everything is running smoothly, thank you for your suggestion.
