Re: How do i change the background image on my login screen?

Go to Login Window, which can access from the main menu. There you can select the wallpaper. You don't have to move a file into place, as you can just select it yourself or enter the path. If you're on Cinnamon, at least. I'm not sure if this translates to other systems. Since you didn't mention yo...

Re: Random Thoughts on Xfce 4.18 (ahead of it appearing in Mint)

In Panel Preferences, the Panel Backup option has reappeared at last. I can't remember when it was around, or even which Distro, but I missed it. It is called 'Profiles' and is right at the top when Panel Preferences opens. Thank you for the comprehensive preview. I'm using Mint 20.1 w/Xfce 4.14 an...

Re: I like coffee

I never liked coffee until I was 17 and working in my first full-time job doing construction. It was late November in Ontario, Canada and temperatures were regularly hovering around the freezing mark. I was offered an instant coffee from our client and accepted it to be polite, holding that plastic ...

So, do you still have a bunch of unused kernels?
Not anymore  I ended up just upgrading from Cinnamon 20.3 (the one I had the kernel problem with) to Cinnamon 21.1 and everything works fine now (fresh installs have a way of doing that )

This is what I ended up doing. I'm now running Cinnamon 21.1 w/kernel 5.15.0-69 and everything is running smoothly, thank you for your suggestion. :)

[SOLVED, sort of] Unable to delete older kernels

I'm using Cinnamon 20.3 (according to what I installed and grub. The terminal, inxi, and Timeshift show me using v20.2) When I tried to remove some older kernals using the 'Update Manager', I have 7 installed now including the active kernal, I get a popup message saying "Could not apply changes...
