Re: Change ntp (time sync) to another than ubuntu, how to ?. LM21 Cinn [SOLVED]
I have tested with just ntp.se (instead of sth1.ntp.se) and it worked.
So I delete the word "pool" in second row.
sth1.ntp.se has been my friend for at least 5 years
Code: Select all
[Time]
NTP=ntp.se
#FallbackNTP=pool ntp.se
Code: Select all
[Time]
NTP=sth1.ntp.se
FallbackNTP=ntp.se

Change ntp (time sync) to another than ubuntu, how to ?. LM21 Cinn [SOLVED]
Can´t find the file to change ntp server (Ubuntu default) to a
more local one. (There is no ntp.conf - file)
There is a file "timesyncd.conf" in etc/systemd ,but don´t think
it's the right one - and if it is how to change it.

Re: Can't move / delete items from other hard drives
Do you have the newest updates and the newest kernel ?
If not , try that , and reboot the computer.
(Edit: Well, I think 5.4.0-91 is the newest.)
If no change -You can try mount your drives manually, in "disks" and click the "mounting-arrow" for each disk .

Re: Usb stick wont show up
Is this a Linux Mint 20.X installation on an old computer ? Installed on a SSD ? Then perhaps it's this sort of bug problem. It has no solution for some (yet?) ,for example me, and affects secondary SSD and USB thumb drives. https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=323385 (You can tempo...

Re: Second hard drive nor ext.USB thumb drive not visible after update of LM 20.2
LOT of tests in recent week. But no solution yet. I have installed LM 20.2 on a Hard Drive (Platters). Works ok even after the installed files from the Update Manager, that is after the ISO-installation. But if I do the same installation on a SSD (2 different manufacturers) it only workes after the ...

Re: How to update Firefox on an End Of Life LM 18.3 ?
None of the suggestions here are an UPDATE of Firefox what I can understand. Is there really no way to UPDATE the old one, with fixes, preferences and bookmarks still there? I have tested "the third party repository Ubuntuzilla by Nanotube" on a test machine and it seemes to be working. It...

Re: If the daily cron job for TRIM is working why does it take so long to run it manually?
You can see if it workes with this command in Terminal. It will increase a lot - with the size of the trimmed part of the memory after the Trim. (Change sdaX to your "sda") xed /sys/fs/ext4/sdaX/lifetime_write_kbytes Check once a day , or I think it gives info after manually trim. Edit for...
