Re: Which browser is recommended?

This is getting off topic, but why stop at using only the big named browsers? If that really makes sense (which I don't believe it does), we should all be using the only big named OS. Now I know nobody here agrees with that, right?

This is one of the rare times I disagree with you.
What were those Pink Floyd lyrics . . . all in all you're just another brick in the wall.

Re: Low Disk Space Warning

I can't tell from your screenshot, but most low disk space warnings are due to not deleting old unused kernels. Delete all your old kernels except your current one and the one previous to that and see if that helps.

Re: word processors

I think you can do this using a text box. It's under "Insert" in the menu bar.

EDIT
Just tested it. It works. See pic.

For the most Windows-like look & feel, go Cinnamon or MATE. If you want all the options, look at KDE Plasma. If you just want a slick interface, personally I like Deepin.
I would also add the Trinity desktop to your "all the options" list.

Re: A button to mark the forum's topics as "solved"

There's another forum I visit regularly that uses a solved button. It puts a green check mark at the end of the subject line.
I prefer seeing [SOLVED] instead (and at the beginning of the subject line).

As far as Linux's chess apps are concerned, I agree with Minux1. They suck.

This is an almost 3 year old thread (posting in such an old thread is frowned upon; just mentioning this as a heads up).
You should start a new thread with your problem.

Re: HOT HOT HOT

Where I live we've "cooled off" to a balmy 99°F (37°C) today with 18% humidity. We really don't get cool at night (in the summertime that is). We've had some pretty hot summers where nighttime lows were above 80°F (26°C), but this year has been pretty mild comparatively speaking.

I live in a desert, but this year has been significantly less hot than previous years. But right now as I type it is 104°F (40°C), which is about average for here this time of year.

Confidence, maybe (xenopeek will have to answer that). But as far as timing, pretty ambiguous.
