Linux Mint 19 is EOL (dead). And since you couldn't download the needed dependency, I'm guessing the repos have been taken offline. Update to a currently supported version of Mint.

If this is not yet solved, have you tried my earlier suggestion, just try deleting the trash folder on your external drive?

Windows .exe install files won't work on Linux. You need to find the Linux versions of whatever apps you want.

Linux ≠ Windows

You don't need to reinstall the OS. The adware is in your profile. Just create a new profile and delete the old one. Problem solved (should be at least).

You would need to ask this to the Ubuntu repo team, as this comes from them most likely. But this is the way most Linux distros work. They don't upgrade to the latest version of most apps, to keep the "known stability." Also, as already stated, unless you're running a server, you really do...

It's not a trash file, it's a folder. Try to delete the whole .Trash-1000 folder.

They've been blocking the more popular Invidious instances also. Gooble seems to be going all out on blocking lately.

It's in the browser/email client profile. There's a way to cleanse it, but I don't know it. I'd just created a fresh, new profile, and install uBlock Origin.

I get the same message every now and then. Everything still updates.

I don't understand. If you don't want to use Windows, why are you expanding its partition?

If you're expanding the Windows partition, I would suggest to do that while booted into Windows (less chances of creating a problem). As for your other issue, I have no clue.
