Re: traceback warning on desktop

Problem solved, to be able to correct and get rid of the warning. In root I changed ownership permissions to me and others to users. After doing this I deleted the folders 'info and files'.

Many thanks for your reply richyrich.

Re: No previous thread or solution found for Random Freezing in Mint

Further to my reply, I have on my Lenovo t420 intel 3000 graphic drivers. So far with installing a recent new kernel 4.9.0 the problem seems more or less solved. If it seems to freeze, I press Alt-Tab bouncing to another window in the ring. The desktop is Compiz. I noticed in Google Search Ubuntu is...

Re: Mint 18.1 bugs

I upgraded from 17.3 and to 18.0 and onto 18.1 while the upgrading was smooth, I live with the fear it can randomly freeze whenever it feels like. My Laptop is a Lenovo T420 with Intel graphics 3000. Maddening to have to press Ctrl+Alt+Backspace. I hope 18.2 will cure the problem.

Re: Chromium and Google Chrome crash the whole system

I've found that using compiz & emerald themes in linux mint 18.1 mate was one of the main causes of freezing. I returned to Marco, and I also found that certain icon themes contribute to the problem of freezing. Since changing to Marco and finding an icon theme that is compatible it has very rarely ...

I'm in the same club as you, my old username of moshebagelfresser was damaged by the attack. I've also had to take a new Username.
