linux mint name change
any thought ever put into dropping the Linux from Linux MInt? i dont see why you need to say "linux mint" . "mint" is enough.

Re: shell script saved as binary type instead of program type
Hello, callmejoe. When accessing the script files on your raspberry machine from your local Mint machine over the samba share, you may not have execute permissions on the raspberry located script files. It is also imaginable that your local file-manager simply has got no way of determining the remo...

Re: new partition ownership and permissions

[Solved] new partition ownership and permissions
i formatted a new external hard drive with gparted. now the only way to write files to it is with root privileges. i realize now that gparted creates the partition under root user so i guess no surprise here. when i run ls -l on the device it shows owned by root user and group disk so i added my use...

Re: virtualbox not following dark theme
weird thing is virtualbox followed the dark theme before i upgraded it to 6.0. i think it was on 5.2 before that. i'm using cinnamon's mint-y dark theme. Or run Vbox with a QT native dark theme - it won't match but it won't stand out like a sore thumb. VirtualBox -style Fusion %U in a terminal or yo...
