Re: Rocketboard Model 100 Keyboard

Wow! I never expected a post to this!
Anyway, all you have to do to set up keys (and you're using Linux Mint Cinnamon) is to go into Keyboard/Shortcuts and define keys as I did in the link photo. I couldn't assign any others unfortunately, but the ones I have mostly work fine.

Re: The curious case of the haunted second monitor

I'd say to check the box that says, "Mirror Displays" since it doesn't seem to be greyed out.I had to fiddle with the desktop to get it to work, even going so far as to use the Sony monitor as primary display.

Re: The curious case of the haunted second monitor

I'm sure that there are people here that can help with this. However, in order to do just that we need a tad bit more information. Could you please type into a terminal the command, "inxi -Fxz" without the quotations. copy it from the terminal and paste the results which would be your system special...

Re: Firejail beta-testers wanted!

For xed on LM 18.3, adding these lines shown in green to /etc/firejail/xed.profile works: https://github.com/netblue30/firejail/commit/b4e484e50f22894683c6974bc01e171dd2b19e3d Will this work on Mint Cinnamon 17.3? I'm sorry if it's obvious, I'm really afraid to screw up my computer with what looks ...

Re: Firejail beta-testers wanted!

So this text opening issue isn't related to my problem opening a .txt file on my desktop? I made a .txt file with random letters in it, and saved it to my desktop. I then tried to open it with gedit. As I'd grown accustumed to it doing, all my cursor did was to do a spinney for a little while, and t...

I'll try and get a firejail tor test for you to run within the next 8 hours or so, Amii, if you're willing.

Re: Firejail beta-testers wanted!

Amii_Leigh, do you still have tor in /usr/bin/tor-browser-en as mentioned in https://github.com/netblue30/firejail/issues/1930 ? If not, can you post the path to tor on your system? This is the command line which contains the path to my installation of Tor Browser: sh -c '/home/amii/.tor-browser-en...

This is what happens when I try to run the same command line that martywd used to launch his, though my Tor folder is in my Home folder as .tor-browser-en sans '-US': $ firejail ~/.local/opt/tor-browser_en-US/Browser/start-tor-browser Reading profile /etc/firejail/start-tor-browser.profile Reading p...

Amii_Leigh, how do you normally start tor with firejail?
I usually just do:

Code: Select all

firejail /usr/bin/tor-browser-en.sh
But this version of firejail won't even show me the terminal. Since I have the system sound for closing windows, it goes 'pop!' and I don't see anything.

The launch code for Tor won't work like that. $ firejail --ignore=tracelog sh -c '"/home/amii/.tor-browser-en/INSTALL/Browser/start-tor-browser" --detach || ([ ! -x "/home/amii/.tor-browser-en/INSTALL/Browser/start-tor-browser" ] && "$(dirname "$*")"/Browser/start-tor-browser --detach)' dummy %k Rea...

I can't figure out where to place the --ignore=tracelog line in the start code for Tor. sh -c '"/home/amii/.tor-browser-en/INSTALL/Browser/start-tor-browser" --detach || ([ ! -x "/home/amii/.tor-browser-en/INSTALL/Browser/start-tor-browser" ] && "$(dirname "$*")"/Browser/start-tor-browser --detach)'...

Re: Firejail beta-testers wanted!

Palemoon:

Code: Select all

An error occurred while loading or saving configuration information for palemoon. Some of your configuration settings may not work properly.
"No D-BUS daemon running" in separate box.

I'll try to figure out how to start Tor in the terminal.

I have this problem but with firefox no longer running in FJ. How is 'commenting out' done? Just delete the ...

Re: Firejail and my browsers

It's official. Palemoon, despite running fine before the 'upgrade' to 27.9.1 denies doing anything to make Palemoon not run within Firejail. As a matter of fact, they recommend NOT sandboxing Palemoon, as this will cause 'problems'. I don't know what you expect us to do about it.. We didn't create n...

Firejail and my browsers [SOLVED]

I have several browsers installed: Palemoon, Iridium, Tor, Waterfox, and Seamonkey, just to have lots to choose from. Just recently I updated the Firejail from what I had which worked at the time with everything I had installed, until I installed Waterfox, so I updated it and now Waterfox works just...
